This is my official announcement on my intentions to run for a local election in November. After the recent article in New Jersey’s Jersey Journal which listed my name as a potential candidate for the municipal elections. Agustin C. Torres of The Jersey Journal, whom I used to inform on political affairs around the country – has listed my name as a candidate for the November elections.
As noted, I wanted to keep my name out of the spotlight and spectrum for a lot of reason:
One: I wanted to earn the trust of the people, actually work the field and work the campaign trails.
Two: I wanted to see if the people wanted to see my name on the ballot, with a grassroots style campaign, of me working the streets – talking to people. And running my own campaign without the help of Sandra Cunningham, Steven Fulop, fellowship rival Anthony Chiappone; Micheal Russo, Ruben Ramos, and Tim Occhipinti because it’s a candidate that makes an election not the leaders that endorse them. I have done work for these leaders, but it doesn’t mean I deserve the rights of the people.
Three: I am an old fashion hard nose activist that steals a lot of attention and clot – but I wanted to stay out of the light to re-organize my campaign and team after three hard defeats. I ran for Governor of the state of New Jersey in 2009, when I left graduate school—after interning for the former governor’s PAC, and interning for current president and former Illinois senator Barack Obama. I was taught a lesson in that election, as where I then ran as an independent for the general assembly in the 31 district – where at the time a rival became an activist with me.
I then ran for a congressional seat, which made me a strong candidate as I took on some of the Tea-Party republicans, and became a noted Tea-Party democrat. Amazing how the qualities of leadership change the roles of people! Where I then helped organize an attempt to clean up corruption with locals on Jersey City’s Recall Committee team lead by Martha Larkins, John Lynch, Raiz Wahid, and RJ Harper! Our efforts did bring some form of solutions to the table; we now have a special election in November of 2011– because of these extraordinary people. John Lynch, Martha Larkins, RJ Harper, and Raiz Wahid deserve all the credit and respect for making this special election a reality for the people of Jersey City.
My intention on running for a local election is to set the record straight – finish the business, and get the job done. My Next Generation of Leaders’ Campaign is working on the move to Turn The Tide in Jersey City.
If we want sound jobs and respectability to Jersey City New Jersey – we must Turn The Tide.
We started a vibe to rule out corruption in the politics and polices that has lead Solomon Dwek to run wide in our city. And in order to restore consumer and voter confidence in Jersey City – we must Turn The Tide.
Turn The Tide on open and clean elections—with a Clean Elections agenda called: Anti-Corruption Ordinance. An ordinance that will give the municipality the sole right to grant out election expense, where the candidate will have to pay back the municipality in due time.
Turn The Tide on how our youth are littered in a jobless economy where crime and corruption is the normal base. I plan on using my grant writing organization, and lobbying service to help finance solid crime reduction programs, and youth centers that work – where making a private to private and public partnership, as the job innovators are rewarded for their service that cost the tax-payers nothing in return.
Turn The Tide on the mentoring of our young – give them hope, that if you work hard, believe – fight the odds, and stay with what you believe in – a fighter will come about.
We all know that this election will bring promises of change, and how others will do things differently. We know that the status quo – of people getting into office without the views of the people in a collective bargaining chip, is on the table. We know the faith base and activist would want representation of their choice. And we know that candidates will say, let the people pick the best candidate. We also, will know that the Anti-Healy crowd will be out there. I should know I am one of them. And I am an Anti-Healy activist, not because of political reasons; I am one because of his policies directly affected my financial health based on political gain for the Mayor.

Turn The Tide Campaign is about changing how Jersey City is represented in the eyes of the public.
Many people came out in support of Senator Barack Obama. As words inspire a nation: it was the scripts of writing that saw this slogan rally accross the nation. If one man can change a candidate, and one candidate can change a city, whereas one city can change a state--thus one state can change country. Imagine what one country can do to change the World!
If One man can rally people from all walks of life -- to change the perception of the city. And 10 people can organize a Recall of a Mayor just imagine what this team can do to change a state. Are you fired up! Are you Rea
